Installer Matthew Yaeger
InstallerMatthew developed an interest in renewable energy in middle school. In 2013 he learned about GRID Alternatives, which installs solar panels for low-income people, and began volunteering with them during summers while travelling in areas where they operated. In 2015, he founded the Solar 4 Everyone club at MSU during his freshman year, with the goal of helping nonprofits and low-income people to get solar panels, because GRID Alternatives does not operate in Montana. Thanks to the hard work and generous support of many donors and volunteers, Solar 4 Everyone has installed 3 small residential arrays on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation and helped with the solar array on the Missoula Food Bank.
Matthew began communicating with OnSite Energy when they generously offered to design and install an array on the Fork and Spoon at a greatly discounted price, with help from Solar 4 Everyone. It will hopefully be installed after they get a new roof.
Matthew began working at OnSite Energy because he enjoys installing solar panels and wanted to improve his installation skills. In his free time, he enjoys running, hiking, reading, and spending time with friends.
