This executive summary of SEIA's (Solar Energy Industry Association) 2016 Year in Review highlights the incredible momentum of the U.S solar industry. We are working hard to keep it up and excited to see what 2017 brings!
For example, 14,762 MWdc of solar PV was installed in the U.S in 2016, which is almost twice the capacity that was installed in 2015.
An average of one new megawatt of solar PV capacity came on-line every 36 minutes.
