The Federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC) for renewable energy is one of the most successful incentive programs to date, yet it is on a schedule to sunset over the next few years. Read OnSite Energy co-owner Orion Thornton's recent op-ed in the Missoula Current about the value of the ITC here.

ITC Quick Facts
- Currently a 30% tax credit for residential and commercial solar systems
- In 2020 the ITC will reduce to 26%
- In 2021 the ITC will reduce to 22%
- In 2022 the ITC will be eliminated for residential projects and reduced to 10% for commercial projects
