The new facility features a roof penthouse where we installed high efficiency LG modules on the south-facing penthouse wall that can be seen from the parking lot. The array is mounted flush to side of the penthouse at a 60° tilt, which allows for snow to slide off more easily in the winter. While a steep pitch usually makes for challenging install, the penthouse is located on part of the roof that is flat, so the installers were able to easily access the site throughout the winter.
Client Profile
The Co-op has long played an important role in the Bozeman community as a local, independent provider of organic groceries and natural goods. As the Co-op continued to grow over the years, they found themselves operating out of several different facilities across town and realized it was time for an expansion. Keeping in tune with their general ethos of sustainability, the expansion was designed with efficiency as a top priority, featuring a green roof and a new solar array.
